MMMM bacon!

Lolololol!!!!
I'm looking through lailah's backpack and I find a turkey and on it it says,
"I am thankful for the sun."
So I ask, "Since when?! You tell me everyday you hate the sun!!"
Lailah: yeah but it gives us nutrients!!!!
Ahahaha.

Lailah to Justin: I have a hard nogginhead.
Justin: What?
Lai: A hard nogginhead!
Justin: *confused look*
Lai: *slams her head into his*
Justin: Owwww !!
Lai: *giggles* See? Hard nogginhead.

Lai: Mom, Waffles aren't afraid of nothing! Because they're not real, they're just food. But chickens - they're afraid of people, they try to fly away. But pigs, they aren't afraid of nothing either - you just put them in the oven and out comes bacon!! MMMMMM bacon!!!

Lol do I read tarot too often?
Me: would you like your baby brother or sister to come today?
Lai: yeah I'd like that, would you?
Me: yeah. It'd be nice.
Lai: okay then just check your cards then and see if baby is coming today!
Lolololol.

:) My Smart little girl

Awhhh♥
*Lai comes running into where I'm sitting and hands me a folded coloring book paper*
Lai: Here mom, this is a 'best friend paper'.
Me: It is?
Lai: Yes ! Do you know what that means?
Me: What does that mean?
Lai: It means you are my best friend in the whole entire world!!!
*Hugs me*
Me: I'm your best friend in the whole entire world?!
Lai: Yes !! I love you !!

How Lailah gets me to let her eat more candy -
Lai : Mom... can I have another candy? ... I'll share with you, I promise ! I really really will!
Me : ....... mm...okay!
LOL

Had a nice chat with another mom at Lailah's friends birthday party.
Upon leaving Lailah saw her friend talk back and shout at her mom because she didn't want to leave and Lailah looked at me and said,
"Oh wow, she is not being very nice to her mom. She sounds like she's getting in trouble.. that's why you be nice to your mom and listen."
LOL Glad she knows.

Ok so I was talking to my mom about this behavior Lailah has been having recently. Since she's turned five. Where for examples - say she's reciting a book she has remembered and I attempt to help her where I notice she could use it.
She'll get angry and say, "No! Now I'm not reading it anymore."
Or if I try to help her with almost anything really. She gets angry and won't even attempt to finish what she's doing. Then she will blame me or blame someone else. It drives me crazy and I don't know what to do about it. So I was telling my mom and Lailah heard me so she goes.
Lailah: *shrugs with a grin* "That's just the kind of kid I am."

Lailah says 'Invisible' - 'Isobel'. LOL

Idk why I feel so proud of this but I do:
Lai: mommy I'm never gonna say bad words, ever. I just don't like to.
Me: who knows, maybe you will when you're grown up.
Lai: yeah, you're right. Maybe I will. Maybe I won't. But I really don't know because I'm not a grown up yet. And I don't want to say yes I will or no I won't. That could end up being a lie if I do the other than what I say I will. I don't want to be a liar when I really just don't know what I'll do as a grown up.

School bullies and my precious girl.

Lailah's been telling me that she's been getting bullied at school by a little girl named Emily. Apparently Emily tells all the other little girls that they can't be friends with Lailah if they want to be friends with her. Lailah told me that at the end of last week Emily pushed her and she fell and hit her head on the desk - giving her a bruise. She said that at gym Emily will step on her fingers on purpose. I just really don't like what I hear about Emily.
I understand Lailah can be difficult and snobby or whatever - but then her teacher should be informing me so that I can handle it at home before other children get physical with her. You know?
Also another child - a little boy named Marshall is apparently aggressive with her. But from what I understand - only if Lailah triggers him. Whereas Emily just doesn't seem to like Lailah for whatever reason. She told me Marshall bent her fingers back a couple weeks ago. But from what I gather Lailah was putting her feet into the boys line to save a spot for another little boy she liked better than Marshall and Marshall wanted to stand there. He told Lailah to move, she had an attitude, he tried to push her but it didn't work, so he grabbed her hand and pushed her fingers back. Kids will be kids.
But I do have a problem with Emily. Lailah has had an issue with this ONE little girl since the beginning of school for who knows what reason.

On another note: Random convos with Lai or things she's said recently:

Lai: can we go get Alex now?
Me: no, Alex doesn't get out for another 20 mins. I'm not gonna go stand out there when I can sit in the car. Mommy needs to be careful for the baby.
Lai: I would like to go out though and play hopscotch or something. Of course you're not bored though because you're sitting in here playing on your phone.
*She has a point.

Lai: How many stickers did I earn for today?
Me: One for being good at school.
Lailah: Okay, what else?
Me: One for being good after school.
Lai: Okay, what else?
Me: One sticker for doing your homework.
Lai: That's it !?!?!
Me: Yes, because you didn't listen to me while doing your homework so you only earned one sticker and not two.
Lai: So I only get ONE sticker?!
Me: Well no, you get One for being good at school, one for being good after school, one for doing your homework. That's three stickers.
Lai: *sighs* okay.... whatever you say MOTHER.
-.- LOL

Me: *sneezes and pees then rushes to bathroom*
Lai: Mom, why are you changing your underwear?
Me: Cuz I just peed when I sneezed. The baby is right on my bladder.
Lai: EW !! Grossss !! Good thing I can't have a baby yet !!

Last night my little Lai crawled into bed with me, snuggled her head into my shoulder, and held my hand. I told her, "you know I'll always love you, right?" She nodded her head, whispered 'I love you too', and then fell right back to sleep. Soon the baby will be here and I can't imagine her not being my little baby anymore. What am I going to do with two?

We went to walmart yesterday to get a bday present for Lai's friend and as we left I was standing in the parking lot and was like,
"Wheres my car?" "Where did I park again?"
*looking around*
and Lailah says, "Mom ! You parked over there !"
*points*
and I was like... "Yeah.. somewhere over here"...
*walks in that direction*
then she goes, "Oh mom ! See I told you !! I can see your car!! It's right there! BABY BRAIN !"
LOL (32 weeks pregnant)

Thinker :)

I've got quite the little thinker on my hands LOL
A couple things Lailah has said over the past couple days:

Lailah: *hits self in forehead*
Get out of my head ! Get out of my head!
Me: What's wrong?
Lailah: I was just thinking ! I was thinking that I need to go to bed since Mamee is coming to pick me up tomorrow morning. But that would mean going to bed so early ! I do NOT need that in my head !! *laughs*

Lailah: Mommy? How did the first people get here? If we were born because people were born before us... Then how were people born when nobody was born before them? How did the first person get born?

Playyard troubles. Not Queen of the playground.

Today apparently, a little girl told Lailah that she would be her friend and play with her at recess. And Lailah was under the impression that the little girl would stay with her and only play with her.
But apparently the other little girl didn't mean that and lailah felt lied to.
So she confronted the little girl and told her shes not friends with liars and that she doesn't want to be friends with her because she doesn't need friends like that.
All because the little girl wanted to play on a jungle gym that lailah doesn't feel safe on while Lailah wanted to play with the toys on the bench.
So I asked her if she wanted to be friends with the little girl even after all of that happened.
She responded, "yes, but not if shes going to be that way."
So I asked her how she would feel if she told the little girl she'd play with her but didn't know that the little girl wanted to play on the jungle gym; when she didn't want to, and instead wanted to do something else, then the little girl got upset with her and told her that she won't be her friend.
So I sort of switched the situation around.
She told me it would hurt her feelings.
So I then asked her if she considered the idea she could have hurt the little girls feelings. I explained that it may not feel fair to the little girl that she felt she had to sit and do or play something she didn't want to - something Lailah wanted to do instead.
I asked her if she asked to do what the little girl was doing and she said that she didn't feel safe playing on the jungle gym so she just expected the other little girl to do what SHE wanted to do.
I told her that the little girl probably didn't mean for Lailah to feel she was lying, but she didn't know that Lailah wouldn't want to play on the jungle gym with her. That maybe she felt bored doing what lailah wanted to do only. Just as Lailah would if it were the other way around.
Lailah seemed to have understood and she actually seemed to feel guilty.
So I told her if she wanted to remain friends with the girl that she may want to apologize and tell the little girl that it is okay to play on her own, but that she would like it if the little girl notified her before running off on her because it hurt her feelings and made her feel lied to.
Hopefully she heard me and takes what I had to say into consideration.

Interesting convos today lol

Two interesting convos with Lailah today:
Lailah: Mom, soon we need to stop eating chicken.
Me: Why? Lailah: Because chicken is a bird and it's sad that when we eat them they have to die.
Me: Well, what about pigs and cows and stuff?
Lailah: Yeah, they're animals too and it's not fair that they die and we don't.

Think I may have a Vegetarian in the making. I told her she didn't have to eat them if she didn't want to and that we would find another way, she said she'll think about it.

2nd*coming home from KFC *Thanks- dad for getting us dinner*

Lailah: Mom, when we get home - don't make my plate. Because I don't want to grow up one day and be like, 'Mommy can you get me a plate of food. Or daddy can you make me a plate of food.' Because I'll be grown up, I can get my own food!
Me: I'll remind you of that when you're older.
Lailah: Okay...... *long pause*.... Remind me when I'm in the last grade because that's when I'll be a grown up. Then I'll remember.

3rd*later on in the day

*lailah just opened up a picture of bennett
*made whimpering sounds
Mommy... I wish we could live with Bennett I wish we could.
*whimpers He looks so cute and I like him.
